| What time zone is Idaho in? |
Idaho has two time zones that are roughly divided by the
course of the Salmon River. North of the river is the Pacific
Time Zone; south and east of the river—the greater part
of Idaho—is the Mountain Time Zone. The town of Riggins
on U.S. 95 at the confluence of the Salmon and Little Salmon
rivers is just south of the time line. The bridge over the
Salmon River, about two miles north of Riggins, marks the time
line for highway travelers and is referred to as the time-zone
bridge.
