Pocatello H2O Supply System Events: 1980
The following important water supply system developments took place during this period of time:
Constructed 3,000,000 gallon concrete reservoir on the west bench at the end of City Creek Road. It is supplied by a booster station at the Reservoir Yard.
Well #30 was drilled at 1st and Halliday and put into operation. This well was originally drilled in 1977-1978 at the Well Yard on South Grant (now Centennial Park). Because of insufficient water it was abandoned and redrilled at South Harrison and West Putnam to a depth of 400 feet. No significant water bearing strata were encountered, and this site was also abandoned.
Purchased the Call Water System (Country Club area) and connected it to the City system. Call Well (now well #33) was added to the system.
Abandoned 20,000 gallon steel reservoir at the end of City Creek Road.
Abandoned booster pumping station at Johnson and Halliday.
