Toilet ABC's

• ECONOMIZE
  Flush only when necessary. Don't use the toilet to dispose of food, paper towel, diapers etc.
• REPAIR LEAKS
  Check overflow pipes to be sure water isn't draining. Add food coloring to tank water and check after 15 minutes (don't flush). Color in the toilet probably means you have a tank-to-bowl leak.
• INSTALL A WATER-SAVING DEVICE
  For older toilets, buy or make a device that won't harm your plumbing such as a toilet dam or weighted plastic jug full of water. Be sure installation doesn't interfere with operating parts. DO NOT use a brick or rock - they may disintegrate and cause problems!
