Description:
This file provides trace element geochemistry of 374 silt samples (-80 mesh) collected from the Clear Creek Special Mine Management Zone in 1980. A statistical report of the results was compiled by P.C. Young, and submitted to Greg Hahn, Noranda Exploration, Inc. on April 2, 1981. The work was part of a regional Cu-Co exploration project undertaken by Noranda in northern Lemhi County. The samples were analyzed by Noranda Vancouver using total extraction with perchloric/nitric acid. The original reports are available for download on the Idaho Geological Survey mines web app as PDF files from https://idahogeology.org/Uploads/Data/MineDocs/EC0433_026.pdf and https://idahogeology.org/Uploads/Data/MineDocs/EC0433_027.pdf (URLs validated 2021). Sample locations reported here were by inspection of Noranda maps and are only approximate. Results for samples 1149, 1150, 1202, 1203, and 1293 are not reported because the maps showing the sample locations were not included in the 1981 reports.
