Description:
This database contains maps of NEHRP seismic site class and liquefaction susceptibility for the city of Pocatello. The seismic site class map is based upon measurements at 52 sites of average shear wave velocity within 30 m (100 ft) of the surface (Vs30). These measurements were extrapolated throughout the map using existing geologic maps. The shallow shear wave velocity data are provided in Microsoft Excel spreadsheet format. The liquefaction susceptibility map was constructed using information on depth to the regional water table determined from water wells and P wave velocities, and with an age-time-environment classification of geologic units. Further details of map construction are given in the report. This study was performed byFugro William Lettis & Associates, Inc. under contract with the Idaho Bureau of Homeland Security.
